Along the 20-kilometer coast of the Riviera you will surely find the kind of sea that is right for you. Ancestral secrets: the caves of Osimo and Camerano
Only a few minutes away by car, you can reach Osimo and Camerano.
These cities, in addition to the beauty of their historic centers, have something special to unveil. Underground countries with a maze of galleries, tunnels and wells dug in the sandstone and rich in mysteries. To find out who built these tunnels and why you only have to go visit them!
Conero Park: sea view sport
If you love outdoor sports, the Conero Park is a real paradise.
You will find a natural protected area to be enjoyed: from sup to sail, from kite-surf to diving. And trekking and hiking trails inside the Park, to go on foot, mountain biking or on horseback.
Discover all the Conero Trails.
In Recanati, among Giacomo Leopardi’s books
If you have watched the movie “Leopardi” (but even if you have not!), you will be curious to visit Recanati and the places of Giacomo Leopardi. His home, the incredible library, the Square “Sabato del Villaggio” and all the places that inspired his production.
Since you are there, do not miss a ride between the Recanati alleys to the Hill of the Infinite. You will see that poetry is really home here.
Play the greatest accordion in the world
Castelfidardo has been producing the most famous accordions in the world for hundreds of years. It is a craft tradition that still continues today, attracting many enthusiasts and tourists here. But there is more: there is a Guinness primordial accordion. 2.53 meters high for about 200 kg of weight and… it really works! What song are you going to play?
TartaDay: turtles return to sea
Did you know that there is a large population of Sea Turtles in the Caretta Caretta species in the Adriatic?
Near the beach “dei Frati” in Numana, The “Turtle Cove” was born in collaboration with the Cetacean Foundation for the Rescue of Sea Turtles, a rehab or pre-release area for convalescent turtles.
Every year, during Tartaday, healthy turtles are released to the sea from the beach of the Two Sisters. A unique experience to live!
Discover Tartaday’s dates.
Museum Omero, art to see and touch
To visit Ancona, we suggest you start from Mole Vanvitelliana. The eighteenth-century structure is stunning and beautiful, like a star that goes off to the sea. Inside you can visit for free a unique museum of its kind and recognized as an international excellence: the Museum Omero.
Here art can be seen and above all touched. Designed for blind people, this place is able to give everyone the experience of discovering the most famous works from an unusual perspective. For children it is a unique opportunity to get closer to art and beauty.
Undergound at Frasassi Caves
Can you imagine a cave big enough to contain the Duomo of Milan? The Frasassi caves are a unique view in Europe. Discovered by chance by a group of speleologists in the 70s, here you will see that amazing things nature can do underneath! The trail is suitable for everyone, but if you are a lover of this kind, there are also some real speleological tours.
The whole area of the Frasassi Gorge is gorgeous: when you’re there, do not miss the Valadier Temple and the Abbey of San Vittore Chiuse.
